I went to the doctor in march and was diagnosed with a throat/ear infection tube block thing and was on painkillers and it went away however i have been left with this feeling of needing to cough and always coughing up lots of phlegm and its horrible and still here. I don't have any other symptoms of any other things associated with that that i can find so am really stuck as to what i have got. The only symptoms i can think of are tiredness and lack of concentration. But i would really like to stop this. does anyone know what i have got?
It doesn't hurt to cough it up.

Sounds like an infection somewhere. Possibly your sinuses. If they did not give you an antibiotic, then it is probably still active. Taking painkillers will not cure it.

"Clear with sticky bits in it" sounds potentially like asthma to me -- that's exactly how I'd describe my secretions when I'm having a flare-up. Asthma doesn't always make people classically wheezy.... some folks get a more hacking cough thing that just seems to drag on. Check with your doctor, because even if it's not asthma, you still have some symptoms that need follow-up. Feel better!

Could be walking pneumonia. To clear your congestion try 1 drop of eucalyptus oil, one drop lavender oil, and one drop wintergreen oil per cup of boiling water. Stick your face over it in the steam and put a towel over your head. Stay there as long as you can. You will cough and it will break up. My wife does this for me and it helps a lot! Try this, get as much sleep as you can for a week. If you don't feel better go back to the doctor!
