Shouldn't they just call it yet more fulfillment of prophecy rather than try so hard to change it?

Because God commands them to fight for a Godly government, even though God promised to make sure it ain't going to happen.

"In the end times, these things shall not happen. Now, I command you, go out and try to avoid having these things happen!"

I don't think that "reveling" is a good christian trait to have.

Although it is prophecy that our government will be anti-christian it does not mean that we have to enjoy it. God certainly does not revel in fulfillment of sorrowful prophecies.

That's one of the many things that just cracks me up. The ones who scream they're being persecuted don't have a clue what it means. People may make comments, but they're not in danger of losing their lives. I'm thrilled that we have a piece of paper that protects my right to worship as I wish and protects the rights of those who don't wish to worship at all.

As it happens, I feel more persecuted here on R & S section than I do by my government.

I guess it depends on the Christian. Some of them seem to want to be persecuted because they think it means they're right. Others want the majority to be Christian because they think that if the majority of people are Christians, then Christianity must be right.

I suppose the issue here is that they seem to use anything (even two contradictory things) to argue that they're right.

they freakin' DO revel in it ... even when they have to invent the persecution themselves

(80+% of the population is being persecuted? pull the other one, it's got bells on)
