I don't understand what is going on I will be going to the gynocologist. I have only had oral sex and I've been tested for STDs which I have had none. I have not been tested for HIV not saying thats its a factor but when you see that warning sign on the back of the monistat that DOES NOT WORK.. it makes u second guess. Anyone have any ideas as to why I have a yeast infection that does not go away and I've had BV 4 times this year and recently I have gotten a UTI. This is depressing the hell out of me. I may also add that my partner of 2 years was tested hiv negative but i've had sex with other ppl since then and when i started getting BV/yeast infection it was the day after the sex encounter and it's never gone away

You say that you have "Only Had Oral Sex". Maybe your bf's saliva is making you get these infections? Maybe he needs to start brushing his teeth really well and swishing with listerine before he goes down on you. The human mouth has tons of bacteria in it, and he is leaving his saliva in your vagina when he licks you down there. And also, make him wash his hands really well before he puts his fingers inside you.

Sounds like you need to get your doctor to prescribe you a super strong anti-biotic to finally nip this infection in the bud.

Have you been checked for MRSA? I suppose it's unlikely that you have it, but it's still possible to have MRSA in your vagina.

Cheers

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:

Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

you might want to go and take a tea bath and see if that helps you you need to take 4 tea bags and boil them in 2 cups of water and then get in a cool tub of water not cold and not hot just cool do not use soap while you have a yeast infection use baby shampoo it is very mild and will not burn. and monastat is a joke you need to go and get some diflucen it is a pill that you take for 3 days and that is it . all so while you have this do not wear thongs and colored underwear.

womens PH changes as we grow older. Its natural and some women get the brunt of it.

A few things you can do:

stop wearing underwear.

Let yourself *breath* as much as possible.

Dont douche. Ever

Right before, during and directly after a womans period alot of us get a touch of BV.

Most of the time it will go away on its own and doesnt need medication.
