What should I bring for potluck in a big crowd to feed that is simple to carry to school?

Baked goods are the easiest things to take for a potluck. Bake cookies or some other goodie. The other thing I like to take is a platter of fresh vegetables (celery, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower). They taste better when chilled but don't spoil if kept at room temperature.

I don't think your dish needs to be able to feed 100 people! However, a very large pan of spaghetti in meatsauce is a great idea. Make it at home, put it in an aluminum roasting pan, cover with foil and carry it to school with you. If you have access to an oven, you can reheat it there. If not, I don't know anyone that doesn't love room temperature spaghetti!

Buy many bags of potato chips and a variety of dips.
Bring a variety of rolls.
Bake cookies or brownies.
