By the time you're finished, are you not hungry anymore? This happens all the time...I just fall asleep afterwards.

I read the other answers. I must be in a minority (((which isn't unusual.)))

I LOVE cooking a large dinner OR any other meal.

I KNOW what I'm making, HOW its made AND HOW to make it.

Due to the fact I'm the first to see, prepare and cook the food, I also know I'm always getting the best of the best. Its something I was taught. Its something I prefer. Its something I do.

Yes, there are times when I dine with the folks [usually my family and friends] I prepare the food for, but usually I had my fill before the guests sit down.

I usually have coffee and a small portion of dessert with them. This gives them the opportunity to critique my cooking - good or bad. AND I listen to what is said.

When I was the chef or managed restaurants, I ALWAYS went from table to table, looking at dishes and asking the customers how his/her/their food was. OR if there was a hardly-touched platter, I did my best to right the wrong. Many times the person was tired, wasn't hungry or didn't feel well.

Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed answering it!

OMG that happens to me all the time. I tell my boyfriend all the time to ask me to cook everyday so I can lose weight! Cooking is the best diet lol. Its kind of frustrating. But the left overs always taste good the next day.

Yes. It's a hazard of the business. People wondered why I was so thin ("Never trust a skinny cook"), but I was so tired of seeing prime rib, steaks, potatoes, fried food, that I rarely ate at work. When I'd get home I'd make a simple grilled cheese. I'd been looking at food and tasting it all day and night!

i luv my cooking, and so do my family. I prepare dinner almost everyday. It's very tiring at end of cooking but i still finish my meal first. To me, cooking a large dinner makes me fatter.

My biggest meal is our Sunday roast. I have a very small breakfast(if any) then nothing moreall day till dinner is ready at night, I always enjoy it that way.
