Does anyone know of any paint that contains no VOCs? I want to paint a stencil on a cotton bag, and I've been using spray paint for my DIY work. Is there some way to paint stencils on fabric without releasing harmful chemicals and gases into the atmosphere? Is it possible to find such thing as a "safe" spray-paint? I don't suppose you can find spray paint that doesn't come in an aerosol can.

You can use regular paint in a air brush, or spray gun. And if you use latex paint it will not have those petroleum solvents in it.

This is a good question and one that should be asked of almost all materials. "Are their VOCs".

Quality products will have the answers and it is important to ask. VOCs can cause health challenges.

There are water-based coatings that you can use. These have next to no VOC's in them.
