Yes i get tested every 6 month's . the first time scared the living day light out of me even though i knew I didn't have it but it was still hell on my emotion's until the result's came in , i was and still am negative .I still get a little nervous everytime still even though i do use protection etc... Everyone get's scared and if you are so scared that you don't want to go take a friend you trust with you to sort of "hold your hand" it really work's to have that support there . And remember no matter what it is better to know one way or another . Good Luck!

ALL sexually active people and blood donors should get tested for HIV every 6 months along with a STD screen as part of a healthy, RESPONSIBLE sexual lifestyle.
Was I scared when I tested? Not at all! That's because I conduct myself responsibly and only practice safer sex and limit the number of partners I have. I also have not gotten any tattoos. Haven't had a blood transfusion. Haven't got any organs I wasn't born with. And my ear piercings were done by a surgeon using sterile surgical needles.

Yes I have been tested!
With all the media hype and the "no symptoms" type situations you hear about, I decided it would be best to get tested. The nurse was extremely nice to me and chatted while we waited for the results, she even said by the sounds of my sexual history - she would bet the farm I was negative.
I was negative but it was a learning experience for me. I was scared because it's a life-changing situation and you have to take in account all your actions.

Yes, and ironically... by accident! I was actually being tested for a related virus so rare (in the US) that the laboratory thought there was a mistake on the paperwork. Both results were negative - whew!
