They are ruling out any blood flow problem in the leg vessels. No it is not dangerous/serious, as it is a routine check up.
So there is nothing to worry, however your doctor is the best judge.
Breath harness/chest pains, can be due to many other reason including lungs as well.

The test in you legs was to search for a clot that could dislodge and travel to your heart or lungs. Anti-coagulants may be prescribed if such was found. As far as the other symptoms, if the chest pain IS relieved by rest then it could just be stable angina (pain), and should see you doctor. If the chest pains are NOT relieved by rest it could be unstable angina which could ultimately lead to a myocardial infarction, AKA heart attack or MI, and you should definately see you doctor ASAP.

Symptoms of MVP are chest pains, fullness, dyspnea (shortness of breath) and cough. If your diagnosis of MVP is new some alterations may need to be made to your medications. You still need to see the doctor and tell him of your other symptoms especially if you have the MVP under control (symptom wise) and these symptoms have recently started.

yes it's serious, the blockage can cause a heart attack.

or it could also be a clot... i'm assuming that's what they are looking for in your leg... and if that comes loose it can go to your heart and kill you, or it can go to your brain and cause a stroke which can also kill you.
