wash it real good then rub it down with cooking oil inside and out , if you can build a small fire outside of course Lol , do so and sit the wok on the fire i will burn it out and do what is called season it , then wash it again and it is ready for use , this also works for iron skillets , after you use it wash it and wipe a little cooking oil inside it before storing it this will prevent future rusting if you cant do the fire thing then use a gril to burn it out becouse it will smoke a lot as it is burning out , thats why you do this outside

Seriously...once your wok starts rusting...something ain't too right.
I'd rather throw it out and buy a new one. Painful, but safer. Woks don't actually rust...Mines over 20 years old and it never rusts. Nt too safe actually trying to cure it on your own, lest there are still some rust bits.
I heard tetanus is painful

Just scrub the wok clean with a scouring pad, soap and water. Heat the wok and add a little oil, wipe the oil out with a paper towel and you are ready to cook.

Fine steelwool cleaning followed by a wiping down with cooking oil, followed by heating.
You want to re"season" the wok.

scour it clean so there are no rust spots. dry it completely. put it on a high heat with some cheap vegetable oil in it. wait until the oil starts to smoke, then swish it round a bit, empty it out, wait for it to cool, rub it out with some kitchen towel, then you're good to go.

Soap and scrubby. Then spread some olive oil on it when storing to prevent it from happening again.
