Yes. I have been winter camping for twenty years. I havn't used a tent in 15 years! We get plenty of snow up here usually, so a good warm snow hut is not too hard too make.
All you have to remember is to stay dry. Stay hydrated. Eat plenty. and plan for the worst weather you can think of.
always keep your feet warm, and ALWAYS have a hat, a good warm hat. Putting on a hat is one of the best ways to warm up, period.
If you do winter camp, tent, snow fort or cabin...make sure it is well ventelated! Often this time of year people die or are sicked from carbon monoxide poisening. Even burning a candle in a snow fort without venting is a bad idea.
It is a great time to fish, ski, track animals, snow shoe...whatever, it's just a good way to not let winter get you down!

I camp year round. The weather is always the same underground so that is where I spend the day. I have left caves to freezing rain/sleet/snow and soaking wet Meany times My last trip Oct-26-07 I woke to a heavy fog that froze on everything. Fired up my jet boil and had a cup of Hot Coffee in me 10 minuets after getting out of my bag. My next trip is Dec - 8 - 07. The seasons change so should your camping gear.

I like camping whenever I get the chance. I generally camp when I hunt. I know lots of folks who say winter camping is too cold. It doesnt matter to me though

Yes, my fiance and I love to camp in the winter. Just have to pack and dress right for it of course. We camp all year round, but I favor the cooler weather myself.

I don't go as much as I like to...but yes, I love it.
Most times I go in a tent, but sometimes, especially if the purpose of the trip is peak bagging or BC skiing I'll take the cheesy route and stay in a lean-to in order to cut down on the weight in my pack. Plus you can build a fire in front of the lean-to and stay warm. That's rather hard to do with a tent.
