Asthma can appear at any age, but what you are dealing with may just be seasonal asthma or remnants of a chest cold. The best way to check is to see your doctor or a respiratory/allergy specialist. Good luck with your cough!

Yes it's very possible to develop asthma at any age. There is a family history in your family which would make you more likely to develop asthma as well. Perhaps you can get into the same lung specialist your dad and brother are seeing so you can get on the proper medication.
Hope you feel better soon.
