I've given you a 24 hour period but put some timings in so you can pick which 12 hours to use. On a typical day when I'm at work: Before breakfast, anytime from about 3am onwards: 2 or 3 plain dry biscuits. 7am Breakfast - 2 slices of wholemeal toast, usually no butter or spreads. No juice (too acidic on pregnant stomach), just water. Nibbled throughout morning - 1 serve of fruit (usually grapes or an apple) and a muesli bar (see below). Sometimes I also eat a bread roll, plain. All of the above to stave off morning sickness. Midday Lunch - Usually a large serve of "soup of the day" (eg homemade chicken vegetable) and a thick slice of rye bread with butter. These are the only healthy/low bacteria risk/palatable choices that I can find to buy at lunchtime. Afternoon - another muesli bar nibbled throughout afternoon to stave off 'morning' sickness and something else eg fruit (if I was organised enough to bring some) OR chocolate milkshake (not too bad?) OR apple muffin (getting worse) OR iced donut (being honest here). After work: 1-2 plain dry biscuits. Maybe a ginger biscuit as well. 7pm Dinner - normal dinners. eg spagetti bolognese OR meat, potato with butter, carrots, broccoli OR chicken stir fried with assorted veges and rice; would all be typical. Last night was risotto made with vegetable stock, garlic, onion, mushrooms, spinach and parmesan cheese. 8pm through to 9:30pm when I fall asleep these days: After dinner - usually a tub of fruit yogurt, full fat, not vanilla flavoured. Could also have 2 or three of: Handful of nuts (peanuts, almonds); piece of fruit (apple, mandarin); glass of OJ; more dry biscuits; piece of cheese. Going to bed: 1 folic acid/iodine tablet. Other info that might help you: No tea or coffee at all. Maybe about 6-7 glasses (250ml) of water throughout day. Muesli bars - Uncle Toby's crunch nut crumble. I don't even particularly like muesli bars! Need something that is portable and can be eaten slowly without getting yucky. 11 weeks pregnant - have gained about 1.5kg during pregnancy so far. I found this question really interesting - not least to get some ideas from other people's answers for snacks! I hope this is some help
