Hi! I make this every Christmas and thanksgiving! You can omit the alcohol and it tastes yummy. buy two gallons of apple cider and put in a pot. Small dice 3 apples 3 pears and add the slices of three oranges, rinds removed. Add raisins and a some cranberries (fresh or dried) and if you can find some, 3 guavas sliced. It adds a great flavor and its almost a must, but its OK if you don't have any. add 2 sticks of cinnamon, break them apart, a teaspoon of nutmeg, about 7 or 8 cloves and about 1 cup of sugar. Bring to a boil, turn it down and simmer for about an hour or to your desired strength. You can serve it hot or cold. Any who you can mix it with brandy in individual cups. you don't want to cook off the alcohol! Hope you love it!

Even though he is a member of the evil elite I too would choose a Margaritas on warm days so it[he] earns my vote. "2. Frozen Margarita - 1 Part white Tequila, 1 Part Curacao or Cointreau or Triple Sec, 2 Parts lime juice, 2 Parts crushed ice, blend and pour."

cranberry sangria - Large wine decanter or punch bowl
White zinfendal wine (in liter box), 1 qt cranberry vodka, 1 lemon/line concentrate frozen barcardi mix, 1 lg cranberry juice, add orange slices, lemon and lime slices. Mix early for flavors to blend. I use ice cubes made of cranberry juice to keep the flavor from being watered down.
If I use a punch bowl, I mix all together and put it back into the juice bottles and add as needed to the punch bowl.
Add fruit slices to the sides of the glass and serve.
Fancy, light, and serves many.

Well, I invented the "tinsel."
It's anisette with sprite, in proportions to your taste. Served in old-fashioned glasses with ice and silver swizzle sticks. (Although a friend suggested licorice sticks as stirrers)
It's not for everyone, but it's way festive.
