I really don't pay much attention to a book that advocates decapitation and stoning to death non-virgin child brides, but I wouldn't trust the advice of a two thousand year old narcotics-induced rant whose writers couldn't even find pi.

"Guitarpicker56" comes closest to the correct intepretation of that pericope. This is another variation of one of J's favorite topics ... the focus of religious fundamentalists on following the LETTER of the Law and condemning people for not doing so i.e. dietary laws in this case, but not the Spirit of the law.
