You SURELY don't need to eat any sort of meat to get your protein, too much protein can even be harmful. It seems you aren't vegan, that is, you consume dairy products? Then you haven't ANYthing to worry about. Just do a bit of research: find out what foods that you like are good sources of protein, and make sure you eat enough of them. That should be easy enough to do. Whatever diet you pick, you must do some research and make sure you're eating well...

As for the claim about bread with peanut butter... people say all kinds of things, research projects say all kinds of things. It's quite likely someone said that, and some others will support it. And it's very likely many people will dispute it. You won't learn much through that. Just do make sure your diet is well-balanced and you eat enough nutritious food, and as little junk as possible. Don't bother too much about claims like these... no one REALLY knows whether they're true or not...

You should also take a multi-vitamin. I don't know who "everyone" is but they're probably ignorant. If you want to stay a vegetarian, you need to read up on it. For protein, you can also mix other things, like rice and beans. You just want to make sure you have a varied diet, not the same thing every day.

No, that is not true. You need to eat plenty of things like beans or tofu. Peanut butter is rather fatty and not something you should eat regularly. If you are serious about being vegetarian you need to read up about it and learn to cook proper vegetarian food.

The RDA is 0.8g/kg-a kg is 2.2 pounds. 2Tbsp of PB has about 6g of protein-check the bread label for what it has. Then do the math (since I don't know what you weigh).
You're probably fine but people just won't get it through their heads that other foods than meat have protein and you really don't need that much anyhow.

Dear, if you are asking that question now and do not know the answer it is probable that you are missing a lot of nutrients in your diet that you need during your growing years. My guess is that you will have physical problems later in life due to a poor foundational diet. I'm being quite serious about that.

I found this by googling:

Hi! Thanks for the question.

I was able to find the following articles discussing the benefits of eating meat.

- “Chris says meat is an important source of iron, which is vital for
making red blood cells.”

- “Eating meat also aids the absorption of iron from vegetables and
cereals. “One of the benefits of eating meat is that when you eat a
proper balanced diet it can help iron absorb into the body. A lot of
things have iron in them but you need to get it out and into the
body,” Chris says.”

- “According to nutritionists with the National Livestock and Meat
Board, in general animal foods - meat, poultry, fish and eggs -
contain top quality protein. This means all these foods supply the
necessary amounts of all essential amino acids.”

The article below includes the nutritional contents of various types of meat.

Our next article provides the benefits of meat in the diets of children and teens.

- “It is well established that eating meat improves the quality of
nutrition, strengthens the immune system, promotes normal growth and
development, is beneficial for day-to-day health, energy and
well-being, and helps ensure optimal learning and academic
performance.”

- “The long-term Bogalusa Heart Study finds that children who eat more
meat are less likely to have deficiencies than those who eat little or
no meat. Kids who don’t eat meat — and especially if they restrict
other foods, as many girls are doing — are more likely to feel tired,
apathetic, unable to concentrate, are sick more often, more frequently
depressed, and are the most likely to be malnourished and have stunted
growth. Meat and other animal-source foods are the building blocks of
healthy growth that have made America’s youngsters among the tallest,
strongest and healthiest in the world.”
