We could survive off of a vegetarian diet but it all depends on where you live and what is plentiful if you lived in a very cold place just as said in Alaska your diet would be made up of mostly meat and meat products but berries and some other plants as well, the reason that a majority of humans eat meat is because of cave men and how they would always run around looking for food but since the most easiest thing to find was vegetation it changed a lot of history and it just kept going on. But either way we are just plain omnivores and being a vegetarian is a choice.

human beings can digest the two vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. The digestive gadget of herbivorous animals can digest basically vegetables.this is the convenience of being directly to of nutrition Chain. So Non Veg nutrition via good judgment is extra effective and ideal for human beings.

Humans are naturally Omnivorous--like chimpanzees and gorillas. Race doesn't make any difference.

esfst: "all meat can be and in fact is eaten raw/as is?" Eat raw pork for a month and I can guarantee you will have worms.

basically veg like the gorilla or even the chimp.find out what they eat and do it.

the basic idea, scientifically, is that in the earliest stages mammals had gnarly teeth like the opossum and such to eat bugs, fruit or anything to stay alive. in time they evolved and branched out. humans still have vegetative little toes, vegetative canines that are virtually useless but hints of origins. the great apes have big gnarly canines but only for self defense. they eat roots, fruits and leaves just as we should. eskimos ate all fat and such because they were trapped on a damn iceberg, gherks!

humans are omnivores biologically.... being vegetartian is a choice. As far as one race having a different eating habit than another, that would only be because of food availabilty. Some foods are more available in some parts of the world.

As far as race goes, in poor countries people don't have much access to meat. So they are mostly vegetarian by circumstance.
Generally, humans are omnivores - they eat both. Some scientists believe that if it weren't for early hominids eating meat, marrow, and brains humans wouldn't have evolved. They wouldn't have had enough protein.

eating habits depends on the place and habitat that the person or tribe lives.

no body knows about the human original history and food habits.

the hunger is so terrible it will allow u to eat anything for survivor.

the only food that humans can eat with out cooking is fruits so in that sense i feel that humans were vegetarian.

Human physical qualities make them omnivores. Their logical abilities allow them to choose

Eskimos (in the past) subsisted purely on seal, whale, reindeer, meat only. nothing grows in the way of vegetation in the frozen north.
Island dwellers subsisted on mainly fruits, with occasional fish.

We are omnivores, we can live on whatever's available, plant or animal.
