Seems that anytime I tell people I love 'green' fashion and want to open an eco-chic boutique, people really do assume its clothes made from hemp for hippies. :-(

LOL! Yes, many people just don't know I guess! I've told people we are planning a "green" wedding and they assume I mean the color--yikes! Perhaps you will have to explain a little when you tell them. I think "eco-chic" is a good start! Perhaps follow that with "made with sustainably harvested materials like organic cotton...it's not just for hippies anymore you know" You may have to go into explain the beautiful dress you have in stock or saw the other day or whatever! Just keep smiling and good luck with your store--sounds like a fantastic idea!

First you need to do research on

(1 ).
the products you intend to sell and their pricing: I assume
clothing made ethically at fair wages with materiels grown in environmentally sound ways.
2) your location, whether a bricks and morter store, or online
Boutique
3) your start upinventory will require a large amount of cash
maybe less so for online.
