it is your body, in case you opt for to devour fish then do it. I surely were a ovo-lacto vegetarian for further or less 40 5 years and that i do not care if human beings see me as a vegetarian or a cannibal. it isn't a count of a recognition yet of your own selections. by calling your self a Pescetarians will oftentimes confuse those who're no longer a vegetarian or having a Phd. it truly is consistently better to purely tell others that you want vegetables and fish - there is not any longer a darn element incorrect with it. If others see you as a lot less then who's conserving the mirror as a lot as whom? some circumstances vegetarians can act like many Christians - If we truly opt for to get picky we may be able to consistently imagine of vegetation as residing also. some tribes in India even placed on a mask over their nostril and mouth so as no longer to kill any micro organisms floating contained in the air from being killed from respiration out and in. i'm one in all those enthusiasts that isn't let any meat even to enter into my domicile - it truly is Goofy to this kind of huge quantity of even if it truly is purely me. it truly is type of interesting to be a touch nutty. LOL

Has this become the new "can vegetarians eat animal crackers?"
No, fish are animals and real vegetarians don't eat animals. Anybody who eats fish would only be considered vegetarian by someone who doesn't know what a vegetarian is.

Not again! Last time I checked, fish are A-N-I-M-A-L-S, and vegetarians (note the spelling) do NOT eat the flesh of animals.
Yeah, some people call themselves vegetarian and eat fish, but then I can stand call myself a supermodel in spite of standing only five feet short. It doesn't mean I am one, and it doesn't mean the fish-eating folks are vegetarian either.

Well it depends on what you believe to be vegetarian. Some people count the 'semi-vegetarian' types, and that is what this falls under. One of them is macrobiotic; macrobiotics avoid all other meat but eat seafood.
However, in the tradfitional sense, no, if you eat seafood you are not vegetarian, because seafood is essentially animal product.

If you eat fish, you are not a vegetarian, but one can consider oneself anything. The question is 'do you consider fish animals'. Vegetarians don't eat animals.
Fish aren't vegetables so you should have the answer now.

Yes, you would be a pesco-vegetarian. If you counted all of the vegetarians in the world, you would find that most of them eat small amounts of fish/seafood, and/or poultry. That goes for those countries that count themselves as "vegetarians".
So the folks on here are in a very, very small minority whose insistence on absolutely 100% meat free is not taken very seriously by the rest of the world. Those in ancient cultures who are strict vegetarians usually do so as part of a spiritual path and not a political agenda or "fad"..

No, the correct term is pescatarian. Many people who eat fish call themselves vegetarian though.
Vegetarians don't only eat vegetable matter as a previous commenter mentioned-- that would be vegan.
