If I take a "meat" metal spoon or fork, and take mayonnaise out of the jar, is the jar of mayonnaise now "meat?" or does the mayonnaise jar remain parve? Thanks.

No. Anything you touch with a meat spoon or fork ceases to be parve. Some people will make an exception if the spoon or fork has just come out of a dishwasher, but my Orthodox relatives wouldn't. That's one of the many reasons I gave all that up years ago.

I don't know what parve is, but if the utensil has been in meat and not washed, the rest of the mayo in the jar is now contaminated, and I for one would toss it.

Technically if it's cold then it's fine. If you want to be very religious then the mayonnaise is now meaty. But it's ok to keep it parve.
