I had it once, i didn't like it much. I did like the jerky that came with it though... it was good.

Happy Thanksgiving! :)

I've had Tofurkey a few times. A couple times for Thanksgiving and other times were special occasions. The Tofurkey itself is pretty good (especially topped with the mushroom gravy included) and the stuffing is great. It also comes with some cranberry dumplings that are extremely delicious and a couple slices of Tofurkey Jerky. Overall, I'd rate it about a 8.5/10.

It is denser than tofu, slightly chewy with rice stuffing in the center. I don't care for their suggested preparation. Which is to cover it in foil and bake it with a soy and orange glaze. I preferd heating it unwrapped in vegetarian gravy and some extra stock and turning it a few times to keep it moist and give it a little additional color. Turtle Island Foods produces "Tofurkey" they have a nice web site.

I like it a lot and I'll actually be eating it tomorrow for Thanksgiving. You have to try it with an open mind and not expect it to taste exactly like turkey. It has a similar consistency and somewhat similar flavoring, but you have to keep in mind that it isn't turkey! So you can tell a difference. However I think it is quite good. It's a great humane alternative to having turkey (and healthier too) and I think that is really important.

I love tofurky. When I make it, I use a marinade made with olive oil, lime juice, and brown sugar.

Its really weird you asked that because I have never heard of it until earlier tonight. But my friend tried it tonight because of thanks giving tonight and she said it tasted like the smell of pedigree wet food yuck!
