1.Popeye...hahaha that's funny.
2. I can't believe someone who is a top contributor from Diet and Fitness (pep) would suggest someone eat pepporoni...there's something wrong there!
3. I wouldn't eat any of it. I'd find something else to eat and not make a big deal out of it (i.e. go sulking about). When you grow up and order your own pizzas you can order them how you want them.

I'm a semi-vegetarian, or whatever it's called these days, and I can't stand the smell of pepperoni. Had it been any other meat I might have just picked it off, but somehow pepperoni does leave a residue, as the answerers stated.

In general, no. I don't like to taste meat grease on my food (the grease has always been the worst part, for me).

If you don't mind a bit of residue, don't worry about it. If you'd rather not, just say no thanks and eat something else. That's one tough thing about being a vegetarian... EVERYONE wants meat on their pizza, it seems.

No. There will be residue left behind.

You know you talk like Popeye?

P.D. --it's called omnivore these days. Same as ever.

If I was a vegetarian, no. There will be left resudue of the peporoni on the pizza. Basically, still some of the peperoni will be on there, since they bake it on the pizza.

I have eaten it picked off but the pepperoni "flavor"remains, which I dislike.
You may, in fact, like that favor, so it is up to you.
The rennet in the cheese wil kill you first, so don't worry about the pepperoni too much

I used to with a family full of meat lovers i had to pull off all the ingedients w/ meat - i wasn't a strict vegitarian

I'm veg, and I won't eat it "picked off" or even half-and-half.

It's like eating chicken noodle soup and eating around the chicken. There are juices from the meat still there.
