Just wondering how did it form and where did the hiv/aids virus orginally come from. I heard the story about this man screwing an infected monkey. but i dont know how true that is. Personally i think the government has something to do with inventing the virus and was only meant to wipe out the african american race. Any opinions?????

Scientists identified a type of chimpanzee in West Africa as the source of HIV infection in humans. The virus most likely jumped to humans when humans hunted these chimpanzees for meat and came into contact with their infected blood. Over several years, the virus slowly spread across Africa and later into other parts of the world.

I believe it came from some chimps in Africa. You know how cats and dogs can have diseases that dont bother them but if they were to transfer it to us, would hurt humans? Same thing. It is natural in these monkeys. I think it was orginally transmitted to humans through the contact with the feces or while slaughtering to eat.
I just googled 'hiv origins' and it gave a huge list of pages discussing the theories.

It can be spread through any type of body fluid contact. A lot of people thought it was a disease you got for being gay. Gay men generally have anal sex more than the rest of the population. It is easier to spread stds through anal sex bc the anus and rectum walls will tear much easier. But at the time, most of the cases were in gay men and the church used it to say it was their punishment.
I would have to look up statistics to be sure, but I think today the highest spread rate is with the use of dirty needles in drug users and less than legal tattoo shops.

OK! First of all, you're making stupid assumptions about people...african americans are not a race...black people are a race, just like white people. What the hell makes you think that people living in africa are in any way related to america?! What prejudice... People are African or american, Why dont you call white people irish american or italian american or whatever? It's stupid. What even makes you think a black person in america is american?! Black people come from all over the world, they could even be engilish, but that didn't cross your mind did it?!
Now, to answer your question, there are many different theories as to what really happened. Some people say it's a disease that evolved on it's own, others say it was the american government that created it and infected a small african tribe to see it's effects, which would make sense, as a test, but why would America want to kill all the black people in the world? What would they have to gain from it? What you've said makes no sense at all....

The human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is thought to be descended from a very similar virus in apes, the simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV).
And you don't need sexual contact between humans and monkeys for it to have moved into humans! Being bitten by an infected primate, or if one was killed for food and some blood from it got into a cut on the hunter would be enough for it to be spread to humans.

We're just hairless apes. I went to see the Lucy exhibit in Houston...it's amazing how being a homo sapien sapien feels so short in the long run of things when you look at Lucy's bones and the tour guide says they're millions of years old. Then compare that to the age of the earth, and then the age of the universe. We're very small.
