No, that's not true. Just because the warts might be physically gone, doesn't necessarily mean the virus that causes them is gone also (HPV).

Check out the links below for more information:

Take care!

As a fellow HPV carrier I have done my research more than any normal person should have.

HPV does not get in your blood stream. It is ONLY on the skin. However, If you get rid of all visible warts, its still there just in lower levels, You can only transmit by having a wart. According to the disease control over 50% of men and 80%of women will be exposed to HPV and just over 20% show signs. Its not a life changing virus and there is hope for a cure soon. A vaccine was made in the recent past for several strands. Perhaps in the next 15years it might be curable.

The Biggest advice is to not touch them. If you touch them they will spread, they cant spread if you don't touch them. Go to the doc and get him to blast them with Liquid N2 gets rid of them with in two weeks.

While its true you may still have the virus after the visible signs are gone from a treatment (there are a lot of good natural ones available that don't involve doctors or any of that), it is also possible for your immune system to fight it off enough that it essentially becomes dormant, much like a cold or flu virus would, even though those are always with you as well.

If you're looking for a solution to the immediate problem, I started a website about this after having it myself about 2 years ago. I successfully fought it off and so can others as long as they know what to do.

Most women that have an outbreak only have one. For most women the virus clears itself within two years although it is evident that you will have a normal life you can still get married and have children everything else is normal. If you have genital warts get them removed by freezing them off.

You will always have hpv even if there are no visable lesions. If you have sex, you should make sure a condom is used to protect your partner. When you are pregnant, make sure your doctor knows so that when the baby is born they can protect the baby from getting it too. There are medicines you can take to lessen the number of outbreaks you will have, but you will always have the hpv virus in your body.

yes you can still pass it on and could still get another outbreak.
Just because it appears gone doesn't mean it's gone..
Didn't your doctor go over this with you while you were there?
Or did you just not ask any questions like you should have? You do know that by not knowing all the facts you can spread it on to others...
How do you think STD's get spread? By people not knowing the facts and concerns of their disease or by people having the disease not informing their partners becase they don't care...
Call your doctor and get ALL the info on this.

That, I am afraid, is woefully false. The warts are the outward manifestation of the virus. The virus itself is alive, well and quite transmissible whether or not there are warts.

No. Even though you may not have outbreaks, you will carry the virus until they find a cure. This also means that you could transmit it to a partner at any time as well. Good luck

you could have one outbreak or you could have many..there is no medical cure for hpv but in many cases the immune system can get rid of it in 3-5 years..i think since there are 100 different strands of hpv you could still get reinfected with another strand thou
