CAN vegetarians consume hen? sure, except (as previous individual reported) they're allergic to hen or have not have been given any teeth or somesuch. could vegetarians consume hen? No... a hen is an animal... through definition, vegetarians do no longer consume animals. some Vegetarians won't consume products of animals, so they gained't consume eggs or milk. a lot of those varieties of vegetarians call themselves "vegans".

Vegetarians do not eat any dead animals whatsoever. Chicken are animals. Fish are animals. Vegetarians don't eat them. Whoever told you that vegetarians eat chicken needs to take Bio 101 again...

No. That said, there are some people out there that consider themselves vegetarian even though they eat only chicken or fish. However, that is not the definition of the word. Being vegetarian means that you do not eat the flesh (or any other slaughterhouse by-products, such as gelatin) of *any* animal.

Not true. Chickens are animals--vegetarianism is about not eating animals.

Some people want to be called vegetarians and eat animals anyway---I'm not sure why.

Titles like "pollo-vegetarian" and "semi-vegetarian" are like "promiscuous-celibate", "polygamous-monogamous" or "smoking non-smoker"--it just doesn't make sense.

Vegetarians can eat anything they want.

If they wanted to eat chicken, they wouldn't be vegetarian.

You can be a lacto-ovo vegetarian and eat milk and eggs, but a true vegetarian eats no meat/poultry/fish.

A vegetarian who eats chicken is about as logical as a 6 sided triangle. By definition, it's impossible.

vegetarian

Vegetarian diets exclude all meat, poultry, and fish and are based on plant foods. Most vegetarians include dairy products and eggs in their diet; this type of diet is sometimes described as lacto-ovo-vegetarian whereas vegetarians who exclude all animal foods from their diet are termed vegans.

No because vegetarians don't eat any meat and only fruits, nuts, beans, and vegetables and a few other things depending on the kind that they are.
