I'm having a real turkey. A flexetarian vegan has many advantages.

I'm eating at my parents house this year and my dad is making me garlic mashed potatoes with soy cream cheese in it, my mom make me a vegan pumpkin pie, and I made a large vegetable pot pie (also vegan).
I made the pot pie last year and out of 6 people I'm the only vegetarian but it was a hit with massive meat eaters (=

Great appetizer, obviously vegetarians, not vegans

Crabbies! If you've never had these, you don't know what your missing. Everybody RAVES about these and they can be done way ahead of time!

1 can of crab meet, same size as Tuna can
1 (5-ounce) jar Cheddar-horseradish spread (recommended: Kraft Old English)
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 cup butter (1 stick), softened
Dash hot sauce or cayenne pepper
6 English Muffins

In a large bowl, combine crab, cheese spread, mayonnaise, garlic powder, butter and hot sauce. Divide mixture evenly over each English Muffin half. Put on cookie sheet and freeze for an hour. Cut the rounds into quarters and bake now or freeze in ziplock bag until you want them.

Bake at 425 until topping is heated through and golden brown on top, about 10 to 15 minutes.

Enjoy!

I'm Canadian and already had Thanksgiving in October. We had a casserole of Koren-flavored Tofu with vegetables and rice, sweet potatoes, salad and some other vegetable side dishes. For dessert we had home made ice-cream (old fashioned churned!) Made with soy milk. It was scrumptious!

I'm making a casserole - broccoli, (soy) cheese, rice and chick'n. It's a hit with my family...I only make one pan of it and it's gone by the end of the day. I'm the only vegetarian in the lot (go figure!) lol.
I'll probably also have a roll.

Thanksgiving is on the verge of being immoral because it boasts using a poor animal as the centerpiece and image of the holiday. I think all moral vegans would avoid this holiday like the plague.

I already had my thanksgiving. My mom made me my own turkey dish, she used Yves soy turkey slices, wrapped them around some stuffing (before it went in the bird!) using toothpicks and baked them in the oven. It was simple and delicious!
