Such a lie is an insult to everybody, saying it is "scientific" is a disgraceful lie and shows the dishonesty of these people
My next car will not be Japanese and I will boycott Japanese goods permanently, these people are barbaric.
They say it is "part of Japanese culture" well cannibalism was part of some cultures too and we have managed to remove some of that by civilised progress.

It doesn't seem to be science and I really think that they should be honest about it and say that it is commercial whaling.
If whales aren't intelligent then as long as the hunting is done in a sustainable manner that doesn't send the species extinct then I really couldn't care less about it. If the whales are intelligent then it would of course need to stop but right now it looks to me to be unlikely that they are (a big brain doesn't mean intelligence if there aren't many neurons in it).

Japanese people who eat whale meat do not understand the overpopulated modern world. In other words they are thick. Boycott Japanese goods.

it is not for science...we are doing our best to stop them....if for all of you that dont care...then maybe you should put yourself in the whales position...they are slaughtered and remain alive for some time, because of their size and the method they use for killing them....ill post you a link to the live web cam on board the ship Esperanza....its live and the images come up every 30 seconds....the only time you wont be able to see is when its dark, which is now whilke i write this...but will have plenty of vision first thing in the morning.....keep track of the journey across the oceans

The Japanese and Asians have been hunting whales since there have been boats to hunt them with. The reasons have always been for human consumption-and that doesn't necessarily mean for eating.
Do a little more research for yourself.

Well, whale meat is part of thier culture, so I wouldn't say to ban the killing of whales for them. It's just that they, and everyone on earth, are killing whales too much. It is ok to my opinion, as long as they don't kill too much, (that'l drive the whales to extinction)

I think it's good because it will make more whale meat available for me to eat. It's very tasty.

THere is no science involved here. There is nothing to explore, and they don't need food. They have supermarkets.
This is just murder. We should pay them back in kind. Sink the boats!
