and suggested to drink rat's milk as well as cats' and dogs' as an alternative to cow milk. Do some people drink rat's milk and can you buy it in the supermarkets? It seems so ridiculous to me, but still interested in knowing how viable it is?

Heather Mills has a brain the size of a peanut. The milk production of rats, cats and dogs is very low. To provide the world milk, with out cows milk, would be impossible.

As JenasaurusX said, she was trying to elicit the exact reaction that she got from you. She wanted people to say "Ew, that's gross, I would never drink...." The only thing is, people are supposed to make an intuitive connection after that (which you clearly missed), that drinking the breastmilk of ANY species is ridiculous, gross, unnatural, etc.
In fact, people get really grossed out when someone even jokes about drinking human breastmilk as adults, but at least that milk was meant for us at one time. No species on the planet drinks milk after infancy, and certainly no species feeds its adults the milk of ANOTHER SPECIES. See how weird that is? That's all she was trying to say.

She was trying to point out how ridiculous it was that we drink cow milk, not seriously suggesting we drink dog milk.
A cow is just an animal like a rat or a dog or a cat...why do we think it's okay to drink cow milk but it strikes us as weird to drink cat milk? IT IS ALL WEIRD. That was her point. I've been seeing people respond to her comment all day as if she seriously thought we should have rat dairy farms. Come on, people.
