How safe was it to have sex 4 1/2 weeks after my vasectomy if the scar still hadn't completely healed?

I'm trying this question again because most people misunderstood what I was asking.

I had a vasectomy 4 1/2 weeks ago. The scar - on my scrotum - hasn't fully healed. It's almost like it's scabby. No blood or anything, just like the skin over it hasn't fully healed back to normal.

I had a 1-night stand last night.

I had SAFE SEX WITH A CONDOM.

However, if any of her fluids got on the scar area, am I in any danger?

Since someone asked. Without joke and with total sincerety, I actually had a full battery of tests couple weeks back and I'm totally clean. So, I didn't put her in any danger.

It takes 24-48hrs for the skin wound to become watertight. You are unlikely to develop an infection in that wound 4 1/2 weeks post-operatively unless there was a bit that had failed to heal. I would like to think you'd notice this and have mentioned it.

If the cuts are closed then there is no danger. I am confused when you say "scar". Do you mean "scab"?

However, I have a bigger concern;

If you are not 100% recovered after 4 1/2 weeks, then somthing is wrong. Did you get one of those messed up, high-tech vasectomies? Those types are "un-proven". You should have had the "tranditional" vasectomy.

If you didn't research it, and tell the doctor what surgery you wanted, then I am afraid you have made a big mistake. Had you asked, I am sure many vasectomy veterans would have told you not to get any of the following:

"clip" vasectomy.
"Single incision" vasectomy.
"Open ended" vasectomy.

When I had mine they used no suture. They simply used liquid bandage. This had peeled off by the 5th day, or so. I was able to wash the area in the shower, and have sex on the 7th day. I remember there being two little wounds (one on each side). They where very small. The inscisions were completely healed within 10-12 days.

I have never had any visible scar, even when I have looked very closely using a bright light.

you should not have done it until the doctor said it was okay. i dont know much about what u got but you only thinking of yourself. i mean is it even safe for her?
