Hey all,

It's my 16th birthday this December and i was thinking of having a winter wonderland themed party at home :)

My living room is empty because we've just had building work, so i could maybe paint the floor and walls white to fit in with the winter theme?

Any ideas on how else i can decorate the room?

Thankyou xxx

If ur heart is set on a winter wonderland b-day party than have 1. There is a service that does snow machines 4 hire , if u wanted to give the theme of snow.
(but they are very pricey £50 etc...)
Maybe u could add frosting/snowflake patterns on the windows
(there are spray cans desighned for that).
All the best!
( p.s my b-day is 5 days after christmas & I'm not sure what I'm going to do, great idea planning ahead though!)

This is a great idea!
fake snow,a bubble machine, fogger, lots of white snowflake cut-outs,everyone wear anything BUT white, glitter, flock a Christmas tree and have everyone bring a white ornament or fix-in for the tree, better yet have clear white bulbs and lots of supplies so your guests can create a special ornament just for you! Go sledding or make a snowman, great music and lots of good food..served on pretty white platters.Have frosty the snow man show up with party favors for your guests,(Beatles "white" album),White snake, white mittens or hats...
Happy birthday and have fun!
p.s.
As long as the floors are in the raw wood state then YES,paint them, try "silver" on the walls :-)

I'm not thinking you should be painting anything without your folks permission, first of all, but that doesn't mean that you can't indulge in your all white theme. If you're going to have it in this room, then bring in lots of little white lights, greenery that's been flocked with white, and tea-lights. Sprinkle glitter on the floor along with silver and white speckles. Purchase some clear plastic "snowflakes" to hang in windows and archways. Pinecones, pine boughs, white satin ribbons trimmed in silver, as well as white poinsettias are good ideas. Pick up round tables and cover them with white cloths. Use mirrors as part of your centerpieces, along with white carnations, white mums, etc. Silver and white helium baloons are nice too!

Happy Birthday! (I'm a Christmas Eve baby myself!)

I don't know what your budget is but Stumps Prom & Party supply has kits.... you can always look at what they have and then pick & choose what you want to make or find similar in your area.

HAVE FUN and be safe!!!! I'll never regret giving my niece her sweet 16. I had as much fun as she did.
