I am positive that you, and your doctor are concerned about your health; so I am sure you are in safe hands, I will advise you to talk it out with your doctor. He is a better judge to ascertain that when and how to reduce the also known as weaning off the medicine.
I am pretty positive the reduction of dose is required after reading your history thoroughly. You cannot stop it abruptly, OK.

You had high blood pressure before which is bad. With medication your blood pressure is within a healthy range. I would consider that a good thing. Sounds like the medicine is working for you.
At your age, I would definitely want to keep my blood pressure in check. You have a long time ahead of you to keep your heart and vessels healthy.
Congrats on losing the weight. That's something to be really proud of. Take care!

Losing all that weight may have helped your blood pressure lower naturally. You're certainly in target range now. You might talk to your doctor about considering weaning you off the medication and checking how your blood pressure responds, given how much weight you've lost.
