It's a calorie controlled diet that everely restricts calorie consumption so you lose a lot of water weight fast (it all ends up being put back on over the few weeks after you finish the diet).

It's the cabbage soup diet.
Basically, you have a soup made primarily of cabbage (and lots of it), onions, tomatoes, peppers and seasoning.
They say that you need to eat the soup whenever you are hungry, and with that, you get a detailed meal plan.
Each day you have different foods you need to eat along with the soup.
I have tried for 2 or 3 weeks, and I ended up eating absolutely nothing. Because the soup is so repulsive after 3 or 4 days. Even the smell of it would close my appetite :s (nice way to loose weight huh?). And on top of that, it doesn't work, unless you decide to go with this diet for the rest of you life.

It is this diet where you eat a lot of this vegetable soup with lots of cabbage in it. It's original intent was for patients who were about to undergo heart surgery or something and they needed to drop a few pounds fast. I did it a bunch of years ago.
Basically, on the first day you eat nothing but vegetables and the soup. The next day nothing but fruit and the soup. Then the third day you can eat a baked potato with as much butter as you want, and the soup. I didn't make it past the third day. All it does is make you really hungry and give you a lot of gas. It is not meant for people who move around a lot.
But on a side note the soup was tastey.

I tried it once.
You make a Big Pot of Cabbage Soup.
No meat.
It's taste was ok.
The diet told you when you could eat
certain fruits.
Other then that, you ate Cabbage Soup.
You were to be on it for 10 days.
I forgot how much you were suppose
to lose.
I think I lasted for three days.
I'm not much of a cabbage, or soup
person.
But I think I lost alittle with it.
I missed eating meats, breads, and
the really good bad stuff. Ha ha ha
I missed my chocolate.
Just a taste... ;-P

i've got heard of the cabbage and grapefruit weight-relief plan!!! For some reason the grapefruit is meant to furnish you that little greater effective something! UUrrrggghhh - do not DO IT!!!! that's merely a rapid restoration, the only weight you will lose would be water, and once you provide up ingesting merely grapefruit and cabbage, you will quickly return on your primary weight!

Will depend on the context really. Which is better as a snack - fruits for me personally. It's tastier and gives you that little of sweetness. Which can be better as a snack if you are trying hard to slice back on sugar and lose weight vegetables

Its a really gross diet that doesn't work very well. You eat a gross cabbage soup for every meal. I tried it and only lost weight because I was starving myself.. YUCK!
