Vegetarians don't eat meat fish or poultry. Vegans don't eat meat eggs honey milk or use products tested on animals. They don't wear fur or leather. Vegetarian is a diet. Vegan is a lifestyle.

Strictly speaking, vegetarians don't eat animal flesh. Most forego derivatives thereof (rennet and gelatin are examples, but some vegetarians do eat either or both).

Vegans don't consume animal flesh, its derivatives, or other products that come from animals (such as milk and eggs, and leathers). Some vegans eat honey or use wool, though.

Does that answer your question, I hope?

A vegan does not eat anything from an animal. A vegetarian will eat milk and butter, something that is from a live animal. But nothing from a dead animal.

A vegetarian eats no meat, usually because of health concerns or a limited understanding of animal rights implications.

Vegans don’t wear leather, fur, or wool, buy products from companies that conduct non-required animal toxicity tests:

Or frequent zoos, rodeos, circuses, or other places where animals are held in captivity or forced to perform.

Vegetarians don't eat meat or any other product that requires the animal to die for it (like gelatin or rennet.) Vegans do not eat, use or wear any products of animal origin, whether or not the animal has to die in the process.
