I'm 20 years ol and i have high risk hpv. i had another papsmear and it got just a LITTLE bit better, i still have one more papsmear to take? if it got just a little better do i still have a big chance of getting cervical cancer? Out of the percentage of people that do have hpv does it usually go away or no

With proper screenings like yearly pap smears (or more often if a woman has had an abnormal pap smear) cervical cancer rarely develops. That doesn't mean it should be taken lightly though, because cervical cancer still kills thousands of women a year.

As long as you are staying on top of your pap smears you should be just fine! Pap smears are the best thing a woman can get done to detect any abnormalities on the cervix which can be caused by HPV.

If you have 3 normal paps, you don't have to worry about that. You might have the high risk for HPV if you have a abnormal pap. HPV go away it own, but still have that virus. Same thing with gential warts.
