Why do Black men who date White women get viewed at as weak?

I am an African-American who is slowly falling in love with White women. For a lot of reason I won’t state here – It’s too long, and I want to know the answer. What do you think?

Well, some think its because you are not strong enough to handle a Black woman, and that your self-esteem is low, and that you need constant reassurance and affirmation from your oppressor (White man). Others say that the media has successfully infected your mind with a desire for that bony, scrawny, flat-butt, thin-lipped, stringy haired, beak-nosed creature that you originally had NO desire for when you came from Africa in chains led by a white man. There are theories that White women who were undesirable to Black men's eyes at first glance, desired Black men for sexual gratification, and she felt slighted because they didn't notice her, because she had no attractive qualities to Black men compared to your African queens back home. White women imagined that Black men wanted them, and fantasized about it, and evidence of that is found in American cinema. Look for the movie Birth of a Nation, or even King Kong. It features the myth of the sexually virile Black man lusting after the pure white women. That myth pervades American stereotypes and movies if you think about it. So does the myth of Black female Jezebel who gives her love away freely and who is always trying to tempt the White man. Well it appears that lately life is imitating art. Black men are becoming King Kong, Black women have long been Jezebel. I'm not sure which one led to the other.

Newer theories claim that white society has successfuly turned Black women against Black men and vice versa. Read the Willie Lynch letter, and you'll see what I mean.

However, the strong righteous Black man and Black woman rises above this. Im an attractive Black woman, but where I live Black is wack or something. So all the Black men are chasing white and hispanic women. Well, a few women i know decided the only answer was to date white men. I refuse to buy into the hype, because I know all this interracial dating is pure genocide. I want a Black husband, Black children and a big Black family, because I love myself enough to want to have children in my image and not in the image of the people who enslaved us here and who continue to exploit people of color all over the world. Just because its not on CNN does not mean its not going on.

I view Black men who date white women, and Black women who date white men EXCLUSIVELY, as weak for the above reasons. They have to be weak-minded to ignore the social and poiltical issues within our community to sleep with the enemy. Do you know that as Black men continue to have mixed families, racism is going to get worse? Its already happening. 40+ nooses went up on school grounds around the nation this year alone. Black will be looked down upon as something ugly and primitive, by both "Black" and white people! Remember that i called it to you, you will see. When you see hate crimes against Black people on the rise, remember that I told you. Black people are unwittingly participating in their own demise, and they think its free love or some BS. If you are not capable of abstract thought, and you find this to hard to understand, then remember to thank your schools and your president for that. They brainwashed you good.

I honestly cannot say one way or the other. I do not make assumptions about why black men date white women. As a black woman, I have been attracted to men of all races. My main concern is that the man understands and like me for me. The only thing that bothers me is that black men automatically expect me to get upset when I see them with their white women. Excuse me, but I do not know you, so why would I be upset? It is none of my business. Just like it is unfair for anyone to find fault in someone's choice, it is unfair to assume how people will respond. I have also found that white women give me the side eye like, :"yeah, I got one of your men," or the "look at your nappy head," like I am less than. So there are other sides to this issue. Further, when some black men do not like to see black women with white men, even if they do not want you themselves. So there is a double standard there. Just be fair, that is all I am saying.

We have similarity, i'm Filipino (Asian) with a wife Texan-American
at first its kinda hard when were dating, people everywhere staring at me with surprise in their face. I find it amuzing i know they are just jealous about me having a miss universe beside me! In my country Philippines normaly you can see a women with white guy (foreigner) together as couple, very rare a men with white women (foreigner). The only difference here is you are famous if you have a white women (foreigner). hehe

Why do Black men who date White women get viewed at as weak? its because of discrimination! you have a bad side of your history black and white.

My advice is forget about their comments whether you are weak. Focus on your relationship, cherish each moment. The comments and feelings of your girlfriend or wife is more important than their stupid nonsense comments.

The reason why black men are view that way is because most of them who go through bad relationship with a few of black females seems to put down the hold entire race of black females including their mama so weak don't wanna be weak alone.

Ah - viewed as weak by black women!

There's a psychological term "Identifying with the aggressor" - a type of ego defence where a person unconsciously adopts characteristics of another person's (the aggressor's) behaviour.

There's another term "Xenophobia" - where people are suspicious of those who are "different" e.g. of different races

I think most right thinking people would not view you as weak. However, people who are prejudiced in some way may well express this idea.

I am a Chinese guy who is dating a white Australian woman. I know my mother would HATE it. She's always wanted me to go out with a Chinese girl. She would love it to bits if I was to trust her to choose a wife for me.

I suspect black women - particularly black women in your family - who might be opposed to your love interest would have similar thoughts to my mother's line of thinking:

better to date/marry within the race/culture so as to have a better background knowledge and understanding (assuming of course white women are too dumb to learn or too insensitive to care - which they are not)

men who forsake their race/culture to date a white woman are "giving in" to the white culture that has grown to dominate the western world (a sort of anti-aryan reverse racism argument)

white folk are injured in the head anyway - particularly those blue eyed ones where the UV radiation can penetrate the iris better and fries their brain (interestingly they ARE at greater risk of macular degeneration and uveal melanoma) - see the link to the Jane Elliott classroom experiment (below)


What I think you should do is to follow your heart. If you love this woman, you should love her. Not because of her skin. Not because of her hair. Not because of her eyes ... but because of HER.

If people view you as weak, that is really just them expressing their own weakness.

I suppose many Black women feel they would not put up with some of the things a white woman will put up with. Thus, when you date a white woman they 'think' you are going for an easy , cosy , spoon fed life.

Because it's a stereotypethat black women are more feisty etc.. whereas white women will put up with more crap.

Hey bro. color of the skin is only skin deep so long as your heart is in the right place you will be okay just shake those haters off and just do what you feel is right . Dont worry about what other think put your faith in GOD and everything will fall in place.
