Yes I do. I unfortunately could not breastfeed my older daughter she would not latch properly and I was in excrutiating pain. My younger daughter I managed to breast feed for only 7 weeks. The reason for this was because she got a real bad cold at that point and I have larger breast and when she was latched she could not breath, I was then pumping but I have back problems and could not sit up long enough to pump, and by the time my daughter was well again she would no longer latch to the breast. I wish I could have breast fed both girls for longer but it just was not meant to be.

I think this is another one of those personal choices that is different for everyone. I did not breast feed my 6 year old daughter and I do not plan to breast feed my son (24 weeks pregnant today). I have my own reasons for not breast feeding but still admire those who do.

Yes, but not every baby takes to the breast. It all depends on whether it works for you or not. I didnt breast feed, but if i did i would have stopped at 6 - 8 months of age. I knew someone that was breast feeding their 2 and a half year old. thats just not right.

Yes I do. I breastfed my oldest 2 until they were 7 months, my 3rd til he was 5 months (I had to return to work) and my younges til he was 14 months (he would not give it up and I had to leave him w/ his dad and go away for the weekend to wean him).
I am expecting again and will breastfeed this one too.
I believe breastfeeding is the best thing for the child. It supplies him/her with extra immunity and it perfectly digestable.
There are cases where the mother can't breastfeed or is on a medication which makes breastfeeding unadvisable.

My oldest son was unable to latch on so no on him.
My youngest son, yes I did nurse him, but regretted it after 8mos.
The reason being was that he was attached to me and would not let anyone bottle feed him with my milk.
I became very depressed, because I was always tied down and unable to go out with my husband for dinner or any special occasions, because my son would CRY his head off till he would actually turn blue. He would stop immediately when I was around.
I had to go to a support group and they told me that it was common and I was not alone with it. I tried to ween him and that didn't work until he was about 14 months old.
As I look back now, 11yrs ago, I don't think I would have changed a thing, but then, I was miserable.

Actually, it is better to breastfeed while smoking than to not breastfeed at all. All you have to do is time your smoking with your feedings. For example, do not smoke right before you nurse. Or you can pump your milk and then smoke. And then make sure you don't smoke right before you pump or nurse again. And as always remember to never smoke in front of baby and always wash your hands after smoking. You can also use this method with occasional drinking. Just make sure you time it so that the alcohol is not affecting baby.

How could anyone not?
The milk produced by the lactating mother gives good bacteria to the baby, bacteria which the baby needs for a strong immune system. If the baby does not get the mothers milk (and it is substituted for formula) that baby will have a plethra of health disorders.
I am a male, so I have obviously never breast-fed, but I was breast fed, and was weaned at six months, my brother at seven.
By the way, I hold firm that this is the reason I have NEVER been sick.
For god's sake (and the baby's), breast-feed your baby!

well I am a guy but there has been studies that show breast feeding is better for the baby because the breast milk has nutrients that can't be made or replicated. So I would say I believe in it.

Yes its proven to be very beneficial to babies - but I myself could not breast feed with my first so I had to use bottles. I am going to give it another shot with the new baby, but if it doesn't work again, well so be it, I will just use formula again.
