Jehovah's Witnesses have the true religion. They are Christian (of course), but they are unique for their rejection of paganisms, use of God's personal name, and global preaching by every active adherent. No other religious organization can claim such purity of worship.
These facts about Jehovah's Witnesses are perhaps relevant to this question. The more one compares this Christian religion with others, the more remarkable it is shown to be.
1. Jehovah's Witnesses have no paid clergy. Yet they remain tightly organized with more than 6.5 million active Jehovah's Witness preachers (about 16 million associate themselves with the religion). Even fulltime preachers and workers at their branch offices are unpaid volunteers.
2. There is no elite class among Jehovah's Witnesses. Even the few 'anointed' among them enjoy no special privileges in their congregations on earth. An anointed person (one of those relative few with a heavenly hope) is not elevated above his fellow congregants in any way, and he may not even qualify for appointment as a simple 'deacon' or elder. There are no titles; EVERYONE is addressed as 'brother' or 'sister'.
3. No person benefits economically from the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Even the 8 to 20 men who serve on their Governing Body receive simply room, board, medical care, and reimbursement for certain personal expenses according to the exact same provision as every other branch volunteer.
4. About a hundred men have served on Jehovah's Witnesses' Governing Body committee during the past 125 years or so. The vast majority of them have spent the vast majority of their adult lives volunteering for their organization's purposes, and the vast majority have died faithfully and near-pennilessly while still under their legal 'vow of poverty'.
5. Amazingly, Jehovah's Witnesses did not splinter as a sect from some other religion. Instead, a truly tiny but sincere group of bible students studied only the Scriptures to determine the will of God. Thus their religion remains absolutely independent of and not carrying the sins of Christendom's history, yet carries the authority of Christ's teachings.
6. Despite the distortions of anti-Witnesses, throughout their modern history Jehovah's Witnesses have refused to claim divine inspiration or infallibility for their teachings. They have pointed to the bible (and not any particular translation) as the only inspired infallible means of knowing God's thoughts. For over 125 years, their teachings have been presented as merely the results of sincere bible research by imperfect but godly humans.

It is difficult for me sometimes to remember that the people are not evil, but the religion is....I was violently abused by my father as a young witness when I was raised. This man was an elder and still is....because there are no witnesses to my abuse, the abuse went unreported, and he went un disciplined. He is still and Elder and still in a position to molest in the congregation he now presides over. He was also accused by other children in my congregation, but they had at that time a strict edict on reporting anything that went on to the authorities, and because no one saw what he did, it was swept under the rug.
When I finally wrote a letter to disassociate myself from this religion, they disfellowshipped me anyway, and thus I have had no contact with my family or friends for over 25 years.
It took me 18 years to deprogram, and now I have come to believe that they are a cult. That they do not know Christ, that they may not have salvation, and that I need to do what ever I can to warn people and to bear witness to the dangerous underbelly of this cult.
I hold the people no ill will, but I have real issues with the governing body and the men who keep these people who could be good Christians blinded and in bondage to works.

JWs spread a false Gospel, as the apostles warned. It is much like a mind control cul; the people don't think for themselves, but regurgitate what they have been taught.

I am not sure. I have a study, but I am not sure that they have sound understanding of the Bible. They interpret it differently than I have been taught.

I don't consider myself any denomination but as far as the Bible and people following it liitarly, I think they do. My oppinion is people say JW is a cult because JWs take the Bible litteraly, while others say it is Gods Word but at the same time say it is not all literal. JWs believe in everything written and try to follow the life that Jesus lived and taught. Jesus didn't worry about going out on the town for parties or what he was going to be doing tomorrow, he knew, it would be teaching and making deciples of all peoples. Also I hear people say that they take your money. At any church I have been they take up collections & if your a member you are supposed to give a percentage. That is written in the Bible and they follow the Bible.
As far as the time they put in, well, if the Bible is true, then they are doing just as the bible says. They have devoted their lives to it. If you truly believed in what the Bible says and what it shows is to happen in the future then you could hardly disagree with devoting your life to it. Why wouldn't you devote all you extra time to try and save others if you really believed in all the Bible teaches? According to the Bible, your responsibility is to spread the word but to not be part of this world as it belongs to Satan. So their time is with believers, like themselves, unless they are spreading the word, then they talk to all just as Jesus did. If the Bible says this world belongs to Satan and Satan is Gods enemy and I believe the Bible to be Gods Devine Word, then it makes sence to keep away from wordly things as much as possible
I just think there are so many religions but JW truly, show their belief in the Bible, they don't question the amount of time because they believe in the messege and follow the example given by Jesus. I think although others claim to believe in the Bible, they still question their faith or they would be moved to do what the Bible teaches, that this world is passing and everything in it,to spread the word, for a witness to all nations. Only doubt could hold them back from doing what is written. The doubt of, what if it's not all true, then I've lost as I have given everything possible to my faith. JWs have no doubt about the Bible and Gods Word, so they have no worry in doing all the bible says. Talk about faith, that is true faith, they are not just confessing faith, they are giving their life to it .I really think it comes down to, how deep is your faith in the book you call Gods Devine Word. I think they are the ones.
Also..... If you know something is true as Jesus believed then why wouldn't you go door to door. This Bible that people claim to believe says to witness whenever possible. Gods true followers would continue to do this. Jesus taught to show the way, to save people. Even when people and officials said about Jesus, go away, you are a sinner, we don't want you here, he continued. I think the JWs do that to. There faith is so strong that to not share it would be a sin.
I don't have a religion and I am not sure what I believe but I'm just calling it as I see it.

You know how they say blood is thicker than water? Well, if your family are Jehovah's Witnesses and you are not one, they are still not supposed to be very close to you, unless they believe the prospects of you converting are favorable.
Kingdom Hall is thicker than blood.
That's partly why my mother and a couple of my cousins left. Her parents didn't give her emotional support when she really needed it, after she left for college and stopped attending meetings. You turn your back on them, they turn their backs on you.
You would have to be very selfish to prefer everlasting paradise on earth instead of your family. Is it worth it?
I feel that they can go on with their business as long as they leave me out of it.

I love my brother and sisterhood worldwide. we are the only religion that follows Jesus Christ footsteps by doing what he commanded at Matthew 28 verse 19 and 20. Jesus is the head of all kingdom halls worldwide. we love our neighbor as ourselves and will not go to war to kill anyone. we are families just like anyone else. we are not a cult or brainwashed as people keep saying. a cult worships man, we worship the one True God and Father Jehovah. we do believe in Jesus Christ. see what Jehovah Witnesses are all about at www.watchtower.org. you can tell who does not like us because of the thumbs down. we don't go around slandering people. many have families that are not witnesses and we do talk to family. family is family.

Myself.....very good.
As for the long comment by Lion of Judah...
So close to the truth and yet not quite there.
To get the truth of anything, go to the source.
Lion makes the statement that God does not know everything...Wrong.
He would have to to create the complicated universe.
He failed to mention that nothing is taught or claimed without reference to scripture.
As to the men NOT BEING ALLOWED BEARDS...Sorry but that is a lie.
I have had a beard for my 17 years in the organisation. And so have many others I know...not for looks but because of sun sensitive skin....
As to donation, yes, but only if people do it willingly. donation are never demanded
In Australia, because of imposed G.S.T. the printed matter is distributed ...at no cost...to the recipients...But it still COSTS.
printing costs money and all the brothers and sisters donate themselves to the cost of the printing...
Lately, people are assessed if they REALLY want the magazines and books, before placement.
any genuine request for information is never restricted.
LION seems keen to denigrate the Society. The use of a title that should apply ONLY to Jesus is proof of that. I do hope other readers will know what the real truth is. Agape.

Jehovah's Witnesses—Who Are They? What Do They Believe?
IT IS the desire of Jehovah's Witnesses that you become better acquainted with them. You may have met them as neighbors and fellow employees or in other daily affairs of life. You may have seen them on the street, offering their magazines to passersby. Or you may have spoken briefly with them at your door.
Actually, Jehovah's Witnesses are interested in you and your welfare. They want to be your friends and to tell you more about themselves, their beliefs, their organization, and how they feel about people and the world in which all of us live. To accomplish this, they have prepared this brochure for you.
In most ways Jehovah's Witnesses are like everyone else. They have normal problems—economic, physical, emotional. They make mistakes at times, for they are not perfect, inspired, or infallible. But they try to learn from their experiences and diligently study the Bible to make needed corrections. They have made a dedication to God to do his will, and they apply themselves to fulfill this dedication. In all their activities they seek guidance from God's Word and his holy spirit.
Kingdom under Christ will rule earth in righteousness and peace Isa. 9:6, 7; 11:1-5; Dan. 7:13, 14; Matt. 6:10
