im a boy 20, i was molested as a child by an aunt. i didnt know it at the time but i realise what it was now. talking about 5-6, but started much younger. we moved away and dont keep much contact with her anymore.

instead of being angry now, i actually dont feel anything.

the thing is.... i now date a girl who was also molested when she was young. and my other previous gf's have been with have also been molested.

do you think this is ok?

I think it is interesting that you seem to "click" with these girls who have gone through a similar experience to you.

Maybe it means that there is a part of you that is trying to work through it ... maybe needs to talk about it or something.

*shrugs*

It's not okay to molest a child and unacceptable for society to allow that children have been molested. This is a subtle form of psychological damage that lasts for decades and in bad cases can be passed from generation to generation.

Be aware. Be mindful. Be loving and caring.

Be LEARNING about yourself and about this girl.

WELL I KNOW IT WAS HARD FOR YOU TO GO THROUGH THAT AT SUCH A YOUNG AGE. THAT WAS A HORRIBLE THING FOR YOU AUNT TO DO. AND SHES SUPPOSED TO BE A MEMBER OF YOUR FAMILY. SHES NOT WORTH ANYTHING.
I THINK MAYBE YOU ARE SEEKING COMFORT FROM OTHER GIRLS WHO WENT THROUGH THE SAME THING AS YOU.
I HOPE YOUVE SPOKEN TO SOMEONE ABOUT THIS AS THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS MATTER.
I WISH YOU GOOD LUCK IN THE FUTURE X

It is never okay to be molested. It generally affects how you treat people of the same sex as the molester. Therapy is always advised.

children of abuse tend to search each other out unconsiously, they share a trauma and can understand how the other feels more honestly than someone who has never experienced the hell of being molested and how it affects you well into your adult life
