They are just abusing the freedom of religion that we have. Freedom is great but it is not an excuse to trample on other peoples privacy and funerals are a private friend and family event.
They are abusing the court system also. They will do anything to stir up trouble and do it in the name of their religion. As a former Christian, I know for a fact that what they do is not Christian.

Nebraska got them on a technicality. The child was standing on the American Flag which is a criminal act in that state and in many others. Because of the crime Maryland can be justified in their lawsuit for the family that they protested against. You got to love those technicalities!
These guys need to live on a compound like the other nuts out there and leave the rest of the "true" Americans and real human beings alone. They have to "reap what they sow" and if they keep it up they will end up finding themselves on the other side of the fence one day.

I don't see the Supreme Court doing anything with this. They can file all they want. It just looks desperate on their part, as if the Supreme Court is going to step in and start slapping wrists of those filing against the Phelps clan and make them stop. I'm hoping that, after having to pay out almost 11 mil, that they won't have enough money to do this crap anymore. And will have to settle for ranting and raving in their little church, all by themselves.

Well... for what it is worth.... I don't agree with a single thing those Westboro Baptist bastards protest for....... but I 100% back their right to express it, no matter how many people it offends.
I also 100% back the right of anyone else present to kick the Baptists' sorry arses too as a form of free expression of opinion.

To invade a family 's grieving to make a protest about war is insane....maybee where they should protest is on the front lines in iraq.

I see no real Christian in that Church, Just apostates who think they are Christian,
