Depends on the state. Also depends on what you're going for - some states carve out exceptions for "sensitive" issues. In California, for example, kids can see a doctor for pregnancy, drug abuse, or mental illness without their parents even if they're considerably younger than 18 (I think 13 might be the limit).

Fastest way for you to find out would be to call up a local clinic or doctor's office when your parents are not around and ask the receptionist directly. He or she probably wouldn't know but they could ask a nurse in the office who would...

My kids' doctor ... my kids are 14 and 16 ... told them they can see her or talk to her anytime without me. I feel it's great because kids can't always talk to their parents (maybe they feel we would be mad or upset) and I would rather they talk to a doctor ... someone knowledgeable and mature ... than other teenagers, although I would also hope that they feel comfortable with talking to me, as well. Also, because she is a doctor and is concerned for their health, I feel that she would give them the best advice.
