Leviticus 21: 18-23 "No man with any physical defect may make the offering; no one who is blind, lame, disfigured, or deformed; no one with a crippled hand or foot; no one who is a hunchback or a dwarf; no one with any eye or skin disease; and no eunuch. No descendant of Aaron the priest who has any physical defect may present the food-offering to me. Such a man may eat the food offered to me, both the holy food-offering and the very holy food-offering, but because he has a physical defect, he shall not come near the sacred curtain or approach the altar. He must not profane these holy things, because I am the Lord and I make them holy."

I asked this once, they really don't like it, now to any right thinking person that basically says god is not a fan of the handicapped, but the beauty of the "bible" is that they can twist it to anything they like.... Just listen to their excuses.....

They were not God's Laws. They were drawn up by Mankind. In the very early days in the Old Testament times, people did not understand what caused these defects. God is love, and he loves all his Creation. Nobody in this world is perfect, however, not all of our imperfection's are visible on the outside. Do you think that everybody that looses a Limb, for whatever reason will not be welcome in the Kingdom of God?

The God of the Old Testement was not very PC or humanitarian and definitely had some control issues to talk thru! Jeez!
Luckily, the younger generation tried sending him on a course, which was only partly successful!

It is not a matter whether GOD disdained them, GOD wants them to be strong while they are facing difficulties. Certainly, our journey are assigned and given by GOD, he can throw us the easy way to let us complete our task. WHY he let us suffer from the unexpected and unexperienced circumstances. The reason is he wants to train us and wants us to be more like him. We can't compare and judge why someone can drive a luxury car on the street and some are begging for foods on the street.... it is all about our christianity journey.. we will better off if we pray harder to GOD.

God was teaching His chosen people a very valuable lesson with these laws. If you'd read the Bible instead of knocking it constantly, you'd know these things. Worse thing that could happen is you'd be saved and live forever.

It has to do with the quantum physics of the kingdom of God
You wouldn't understand!
Jesus healed these people and had compassion on them and He is the same today and always.
God had to show the importance of purity and perfection in the offerings because it was a prophetic picture of the offering Jesus made when he gave his life for you.
Jesus was pure and perfect and he offered himself for you.
God be with you to find him

I suspect that the priest who offered as described in this scripture was a type of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ was perfect and whole in the sense that he had no sin. So having a "perfect" priest to stand in for Christ reminded the people about Christ's perfection. Something like that.
