I take offence at the concept that loving, caring, decent people (like my parents who love dearly me as much as I love them) should burn in Hell for not believing in God.

If I was a devout Christian (which I'm not) and I believed with all my heart that God must be worshipped -- yet God still condemned my parents to roast on Satan's BBQ forever for their Buddhist beliefs , then I would gladly renounce God. Heck, I'd do that even if I was a priest.

Jeremiah, while your conviction is obvious, your morality in my eyes is lacking. Here's an excerpt from your posting:

I'm sorry to tell you unless your parents accept this as reality and acknowledge what God did for them through Jesus on the cross they will never see the inside of heaven and as surely as God lives he will throw them into hell along with you if you have not accepted christ as well.

You call that drabble love? You call that just?
Your acquiescence of God's judgement to torture loving people is sickening.

God would not do that .He loves everyone with the same unconditional love.If you lead a good life and care for people and have compassion for them then that will be sufficient for God.It is the Christians with all their bigotry ridiculing other religions that are sinning.Prayer is very powerful if used correctly and some of us (Catholics) say special prayers (novenas) for all who do not believe in God .

Let's just say, if you're parents decide to live their lives not wanting any part of God, living their lives for themselves guided by themselves then they probably won't mind living an eternity apart from God. And if you are wanting to make the same decision then why would you mind living an eternity apart from God? It's what you want isn't it? You already are making decisions as far as what criteria to use in judging your parents so just continue making all of the decisions you want and don't worry about what God wants. Don't look at it like God is condemning to be separate from him for eternity because they are the ones deciding to be separate from him and not even to acknowledge his presence. In my opinion there will be no one in hell that didn't decide to be there. I think hell is nothing more than an eternal separation from God. Personally I like being in God's presence.

God is Parent Himself. Kingdom of Heaven it is not Kingdom of Religions or Kingdom of Church, rather it is of God's Family where God is Heavenly Parent and all people are His children and brothers and sisters. Even Adam & Eve wasn't religiuse, there wasn't Bible and churches, but they could walked and talked with God.
Let's make our families the families where God wants to come and dwell with us.
May God Bless you

Be careful on your statement, you will be judge someday!

I tell you what? the God of Christian is Loving and He is also just. One thing he hates is blasphemy or renouncing Him as God. He is the King of kings and the Lord of all! Every knee and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!
(read Philippians 2:9-11)

The God of Christian will always love you even if you don't believe in him. His abundance grace is sufficient you!

No one in this world who are in the position to tell us in where and what place we suppose to go - heaven or in hell, you've done good or bad.We are accounted to our own selves and it is only HIM who can judge.
What ever profession we have still we can do our service for other even though were not priest, pastor, imam or what so ever.It also depends on how do you believe God, your faith and convertion with Him, regardless of what religous sect you belong. Salvation is individual - you are accounted for whatever you've done in this world and in your breatheren.

God is a loving forgiving God, and no matter how good your parents seem to be to you, you are judging them from a sinful earthly point of view. God is HOLY and sinless . Ask your mother and father these simple questions to see how they measure up to God's standards. Have you ever told a lie? of coarse they have we all have, have you ever stolen anything even something as small as a pencle? if they are honest they will say yes of course! have you ever looked upon the opposite sex with lust, Jesus said in Matt ch 5 if you've done that your guilty of adultery in your heart. ask them have you ever taken the lords name in vain? if they are honest then just like me or you they are guilty and if they admit to these things even one they are guilty of breaking Gods laws. I don't know about you but I am guilty of all of these things. a lying thieving adulators blasphemer, and these are just a few of the ten commandments. So if God is a good judge than when we stand before him on the day of judgment and he judges us by these standards than we will be guilty and thrown into hell.

Heres the good news and the very thing that prooves GOD is a loving and forgiving GOD. Even though we are guilty and deserve hell he made a way for us to be with him for ever in heaven anyway and not hold our sins against us. He sent Jesus into the world to die on the cross in our place taking on himself the punishment for our sins. The Bible says that if we believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths that Jesus is the lord we will not be thrown into hell as we so richly deserve but let into heaven. john 3:16 says that for GOD so loved the world that he gave his only son SO THAT WHO EVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHALL NOT PARISH BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE>

I'm sorry to tell you unless your parents accept this as reality and acknowledge what God did for them through Jesus on the cross they will never see the inside of heaven and as surely as God lives he will throw them into hell along with you if you have not accepted christ as well. God bless you and I pray he will help you and your family to understand and be saved in Jesus name I pray AMEN.

You don't know God do you?

No one, not even churchgoers get this.
GOD IS GOD!

He can kill me if he wants to and I know it will be the right thing.

You won't be with God in eternity because you were a good person.
You will be there because you trusted God and accepted his savior Jesus Christ.

You will live eternally however you believe.

I've been told I'm going to hell, because as a Catholic we "don't believe the same as Christians."

As far as I'm concerned, whomever ends up in hell deserves to be there.

I commend you for standing up like this and saying what you feel.

It's ridiculous, isn't it? Something that was presumably intended as a morality tale has been transformed into a way of life. It's just so unbelievable.

fortunately for your parents, there is no hell. i agree, i refuse to worship a deity that would condemn and torture "his beloved children." down here on earth where i live, they call sacrificing you children murder and you would likely be executed.
