Maybe they can't see exactly what caused it. It isn't an exact science. They can only see what they can see and that's it. Or maybe nothing can be done. Such as predicting a natural disaster. What can be done to stop that? Nothing.
I think saying things like, "President so and so will be assasinated on this day" is a good enough lead to prevent it if you believe the person, don't you?
I personally believe that God put psychics here to help others. There is enough evidence regarding psychic phenomenon that the cynical man laughs at it at his own risk.

Doom and gloom keeps their customers coming back. in reality, there are no REAL psychics! I know this from experience. If you listen to any psychic, you will realize that any of their so-called predictions are so vague they could apply to just about anyone. Anything that seems specific to the customer is just an illusion or a coincidence.

here is how it was explained to me
predictions of world events tend to be quite random ( im not talking about the silly fortune telling stuff )
think about time ... and imagine it like a river
then someone throws in a large stone into that river
those watching the river a few miles along the bank will see ripples caused by that stone being dropped
the stone has caused an effect
now think of psychics as people watching that river ... they see the ripples happening from a stone being dropped in somewhere along the riverbank
they are sensative enough to pick up on ripples in the time line caused by dramatic events
sadly though , events that cause worldwide ripples tend to be ones that shake us ... they are rarely good events

Here's some help for you; remember it always.
Deuteronomy 18: 12
---------------------------
There should not be found in you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, anyone who employs divination, a practicer of magic or anyone who looks for omens or a sorcerer, or one who binds others with a spell or anyone who consults a spirit medium or a professional foreteller of events or anyone who inquires of the dead. For everybody doing these things is something detestable to Jehovah, and on account of these detestable things Jehovah your God is driving them away from before you.
Leviticus 19:26:
----------------------
"YOU must eat nothing along with blood. YOU must not look for omens, and YOU must not practice magic"..
YOU don't have to wonder about psychics any longer.
Bye

Probably to do with the Law of Entropy (or the First Law of Thermodynamics) - which basically is the only accurate prediction of everything turning to chaos.

I don't know why they leave the things that may change the downward spiral.
But if mankind changes and repents.
Everything can turn around overnight.
Great Question

In a matter of fact they don't predict anything, they just make more or less obvious assumptions, which most of them never come true.

The answer is easy, they are all charlatans who take money from bereaved and vulnerable people, I class them the same as grave robbers and drug dealers.
