You could make Christmas bird decorations from half walnut shells, gold paint, red construction paper and sequins. Or you could use the kids photos to make personalised Christmas tree decorations which your families will treasure for years to come.

Beaded Ornaments
You can make beautiful bead ornaments to give as gifts, or to hang on your Christmas tree!
All you need are pipe cleaners and transparent crafts beads (5-10 millimeters) Hook the end of a pipe cleaner and thread on beads from the opposite end, stopping about a half inch from the tip. Twist together the two ends and your bead strand is ready to be shaped into a star, candy cane, or other holiday shape!
You can twist multiple strings together to form three dimensional shapes and unique ornaments!
Santa Centerpiece
This is an adorable centerpiece for your holiday table! You'll need a clean milk carton with the top cut off, 1 piece of white construction paper (large enough to fit around the milk carton), cotton balls, twigs, holly leaves and evergreen pieces.
Glue the white paper around the milk carton. Cut off any excess paper. Use markers to draw eyes, a nose, and a mouth on the carton.
Glue on cotton balls for Santa's beard and around the top of the carton for Santa's hair. Arrange some twigs, holly leaves and evergreen pieces in your centerpiece!

Cut some Christmas shapes (bauble, present, Xmas tree etc.) out of card and get the kids to decorate them, then make a hole in the top and use a loop of thread to hang them on the tree. Your three year old can scribble happily with crayons or pens, if you want to be a bit more adventurous for the older two you can get some glue and some shiny bits to stick on. If money's tight, save shiny foil from chocolate wrappers etc. - it's just as glittery as sequins!

Go to the dollar store and purchase some wooden cutouts and some craft paints. Have them make thier parents christmas presents of ornaments. They will think it is neat to make them something, and mom and dad will love it. If they are gilrs, get lots of glitter and other sparkles. Put thier names and the year on the back, mom will be thrilled.

Go to the craft store and buy lots and lots of the foam christmas beads, they are extra cheap so you can afford LOTS of them. Now with these you can give them thread and let them thread theirselves necklace or bracelets (i did this at halloween with my four year and he loved it), or you can cut the center out of paper plates (try the red plastic kind) and let them glue the peices on there to make "wreaths". Or do a smaller construction paper circle and let them make "ornaments". All these are easy to make and easy to clean up. Have fun!!

glittery pines cones - spray glue and glitter, dress up with ribbons
Homemade christmas cards
Christmas Silhouettes - turn off lights, tape a black paper or posterboard onto wall at childs height, shine a flashlight on profile of child and trace onto black paper - cut out and glue to colored paper of your choice. Add things like ribbons or buttons to decorate it... for boy, cut out a baseball cap?
Make styrofoam angels - cone and ball shapes, cut out paper wings, wire would make halo, etc...
