Even Jesus said "a sin cannot redeem a sin".
Is it hypocracy?

It's not just creepy, it's psychotic. I could maybe understand a tyrannical king with a hyper-inflated ego demanding that someone die - regardless of who it was - so that he'll feel a sense of revenge, but a god!? ...oh wait, I almost forgot who the Christian god was modeled after.

"a sin cannot redeem a sin": Passage? Even if it were, how is Jesus's sacrifice sin to himself? As for whether or not it's "creepy", it's the only logical method of salvation for our abused lives, that God might not forever require our own lives at the time of judgment: "And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man." (Gen 9:5)

It is hypocrisy, and mostly an out for Christians who don't feel they are up to obeying the commandments of the One GOD and are looking for an easy way out. What a better way than to make up some nonsense about Jesus sacrificing himself to save everyone else from damnation and, in doing so, makes it so that nobody ever has to follow GODs law ever again? Jesus NEVER said any of this crap to his people - in fact he said quite the opposite, and as usual, nobody listened or cared - they just made up what they felt would work best for them.

I feel sorry for the poor guy, his failure on this world was nothing short of spectacular and he had front row seats to the whole thing.

Not really. All religions have used sacrifice at some point in their past. That's how they believed they appeased their gods. To them it is no more unusual than offering up a prayer.

We can't really comment on it being creepy as we weren't around in those times, what may seem unusual to us, doesn't mean it's creepy or hypocritical.

Remember, Jesus was new testament and only old testament involved sacrifice.

But as the bible is man made, it is very plausible that even if the christian god IS real, that the book has been mis interpretted or even made up.

Very creepy...I don't believe in the blood rituals of mainline Christianity, I prefer Jesus and following the way he lead his life.

There is no such Scripture. And get yourself a good dictionary while you're at it. That or learn to use a spell check.

*hypocrisy*

Jesus VOLUNTARILY shed His blood.

John 19:11 Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.

little bit

But I think a sacrifice isn't about the spilling of the blood, it's about giving something up or giving it away.
