In Nascar, the laps can vary depending on the length of the track. I've included a link to all of the Nascar race tracks.

43 cars start each Nascar race.

Individual tracks are different some 1 mile some 1.5 . Check a sports thing here go to Nascar and look for info on the tracks it'll tell you of the track in question. Your story sounds fascinating.Oh yes think Nascar fields 43 cars each race. Indy League Racing less. Good luck would love to read your story when it's done:)

The laps depend upon the length of the track. The longer the track, the fewer the laps. The majority of races are between 400-500 miles. I'd probably use miles instead of laps for your story if you're trying to come up with an average.

Laps: If the track is 1-mile, like Phoenix Speedway in which there laps are 500 in the fall race, that means that they travel 500 miles in that single race. If the track is 2.5 miles like Daytona, for the 400, they travel 850 miles.

Drivers: In the Cup, there are 43 drivers. In Busch, they race 42 drivers. In Trucks, they race 36 drivers.

i think of the double-record restart is superb through fact it supplies lapped automobiles of challenge to get their lap decrease back. I additionally think of Dave Despain is nice that the "fortunate dogs" rule makes double-record restarts out of date. although, there ought to be a exchange interior the "fortunate dogs" rule if NASCAR have been to desert the double-record restart. Drivers could desire to in basic terms be waiting to receive the "fortunate dogs" one time in line with race. If the "fortunate dogs" motive force throughout the time of a definite warning has already won one unfastened bypass, provide it to the subsequent guy. i think of in case you bypass down a lap greater advantageous than as quickly as, there's a rationalization for that, and you do no longer should get decrease back on the lead lap anymore. If NASCAR does not exchange the "fortunate dogs" rule, i think of that throughout the time of basic terms automobiles a million lap down could desire to be allowed to initiate on the interior a restart. positioned each and every of the automobiles dissimilar laps down in the back of the lead lap automobiles- they are no longer going to make up 6 laps whether they do bypass the chief on the restart! a minimum of the double-record restart supplies drivers a million lap down of challenge to get their lap decrease back. understand that some lapped automobiles are aggressive, they simply have been given bit via a warning while they have been on pit highway or the lead lap in no way cycled decrease back after pit stops.
