In interior design, what can glass have for effect?

i'm constucting a scaled model and i need to know how to explain how the planes of glass have effect in people's eyes.

Creates a feeling of expansion.....opens up an area....especially good in areas that otherwise may be small.....( an office , breaking up an entrance or room.....tween dining/living areas....
I love their effect in Skylight windows in the ceiling too.....

It opens up a room..... in a good deceptive way......( That's just one reason off the top of my head ).
