I'm unsure of what you mean about their pose. All I know is that Jesus Christ gave us a job to do. He wants us tell others what He has said and done and continues to do.

When I am around someone who doesn't seem to know Jesus, I carefully seek to see if we have any common ground or if the person has any spiritual curiosity or sense of spiritual need. I don't thump my Bible or try to ramrod someone and make them listen to me preach. I truly want to "share the good news". I'm sure you have run into some immature or perhaps ignorant people who do "hit and run evangelism". I assure you that is not Jesus' plan or desire.

I met Jesus at age 18. I did need to be saved, from myself. I was suicidal, from despair over my childhood abuses I suffered. When Jesus came into my life and spirit I changed in important ways as I began to interact with Jesus. I was so much in love with Him that I ran off at the mouth about Him. I'm sure I probably offended/bothered some folks. I've always been able to see the hurting people around me. I found someone good, kind, strong, gentle and loving. I wanted everyone who hurt to meet Jesus. I still feel this way; I just try to share more carefully - more "live it out" than "shout it out."

You may not feel any needs in your life. You may be strong and capable and on top of every situation. I was never that way. I've always known I needed someone. I just nearly died before I found that Jesus is my Someone. He's always wanted to be there for me, but as a Gentleman, He waits to be invited in to someones home.

I wish you all the best, I'm sorry you were offended by some people with pushy behavior.

Not sure what pose you mean, but they feel it is their duty to spread the Gospel and win converts. As a liberal Christian, I have even had fundamentalist Christians trying to evangelise me. Well, I don't take the entire Bible literally, so I can't be a "real" Christian. Irritating, isn't it?

What's a Jesus Christ pose? Like pretending to be nailed to a cross?
Just give them the finger and walk away.

Don't all religions with evangelical purposes have the same pose ?

Undisputed, there is certainly concern for you by those who see that you may need a kind of help, not to assume necessarily salvation in the general religious sense.

You perceive it and therefore your senses feed your assumptions. It could simply be out of kindness that they see something not quite in place which may be the norm for yourself.

Chill out; no need to get paranoid.

for whatever reason, it is but true for you/us to be saved, saved from eternal damnation. we are all going to hell for we all sinned and fall short of the glory of God. that is the reason why God gave His one and only son Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation and certainly not through our good works. supporting that claim is ephesians 2:8.

god bless! =)

Maybe it is just you, who are feeling bad about yourself. Maybe you are the one who knows that you need a change in your life. You need God, the only one who realy cares.

They're not the ones looking at you like that.
Jesus Christ is the one touching your heart to feel that way.
Sounds to me like He is offering you His salvation.
Now is the time to accept His offer.

Repent of sin and ask Jesus to save you.

Superiority complex maybe. Basically the logic I see behind it is," join us because your lost." This tells us that logically, were considered a minority to them.

hahah! I know what you mean :) I went to one of those candle light parties last night with a large group of church women. My mom went with me and when they asked for people to raise their hands if it was their first candle party, my mom raised her hand and said "Yep! I'm no longer a candle light party virgin!" and everyone looked at us like "oh my gosh!"

Who cares what people think. Maybe its actually the "christians" that need to be saved. They are the ones that NEVER follow their own commandments. OMG is 99.9% of the world going to HELL!?
