I had lunch with some friends this past Saturday @ a nice mexican resurant and they orderd bottels of Bud, Budlight, and Margaritas...As for myself I was the DDw/interlock cuz I got cought for my first and only DUI back in April, So I orderd bottle after bottle of Odouls...You know thinking Odouls would be okay to drink while hanging out with my friends while they drank the real stuff!...So when we were about to leave I blew into the interlock and It warned me so I went inside and rinsed my mouth out cuz that's what the installer man said to do if it warns me. That's what he said he tell's ppl who use mouthwash and stuff that has very lil alcohol in it. So I rinsed and blew again thinking it would pass but to my suprise It failed me!!!...I was shocked! my friends thought it was funny but I'm honestly scared!...and now I'm gonna have my interlock read in 2 weeks. And when It get's downloaded to the comp it's gonna be sent to my p.o. I'm so worried that they might think I'm drinking!!!

I even thanked the officer for arresting me for my stupid decision when I got arrested. I got cought on the first time I was able to spend time to myself and my friends and it was'nt worth it!!! I'm a great mother and proud of it!!!...I love my children to death!

I'm sorry, but if you feel like you have to drink something like Odouls while hanging out, you have a mental addiction to drinking that you need to over come. Why not just a Coke? Alcoholics cannot drink the likes of Odouls, as even the small amount of alcohol can set them off into a drinking frenzy.

Hi Larrice:

First off, kudos to you for making the decision to quit drinking. I'm sure it will be better for you and your children in the long run.

About the interlock device- I have a friend who had one on thier car, and surprisingly, it can be set off by a variety of things, including peanut butter and Red Bull! It's not a fool proof piece of equipment. Just explain the situation to your probabtion officer. I'm sure that this is not the first time they have seen this situation. Honesty is always the best policy.

And, like other user have mentioned, O'douls does contain a very small amount of alcohol, so next time you might be better off sticking with water or soda.

O'douls has a little bit of alcohol in it.

A good safe drink is 1/2 oj and 1/2 cranberry on the rocks.

A non-alcoholic drink??? No way! O'Douls??? Yes. It is not non-alcoholic. It has a small content of alcohol in it. So enough of it and it will set the interlock off.

o'doul's is less than 0.5% acohol by volume, depending on how many you had it would be enough to trigger the interlock.

i would talk to your p.o. immediately and confess as to your confusion.

o'douls still has alcohol in it. . . that's why you still have to be 21 to buy it.
