I do not smoke, I do not drink alcohol, I do not go to bars.
Anyone who does not do any of these are they considered to have good habits and qualities compared to anyone who smokes, drinks and do drugs. I argue with people who drink and smoke abd they say that I am not normal, something wrong with me. Not smoking, not drinking does not make you a good person or person with good qualities.

people who think it is okay to smoke and drink must teach their kids to drink and smoke and enjoy because if it is good to you then it is good to your kids.
If you consider smoking and drinking as fun and are considered a good habit.

Well first of all, drinking and/or smoking have almost NOTHING to do with whether someone is "good" or not.
There have been some amazing people in this world who smoked or drank. And there have been some amazing people who did neither. An entire person, the depth of a human mind and soul, cannot be measured simply by seeing that someone smokes. Hell, there have even been some amazing alcholics with good hearts and bad willpower.
Whether a person is "good" or not, depends on individual principles and individual perception. I'd say a "good" person is compassionate, understanding, charitable, kind, funny strong, fierce, passionate, intellingent (in any kind of way)...but your definition of "good" may be different than mine. If a person smokes cigarettes or pot, or drinks alcohol doesn't matter to me. People are people. And I guess it all depends on what YOU believe is important.
So no, I can't tell you if you're a good person, just because you don't smoke or drink; you could be a jerk for all I know. But what I CAN tell you is that it is important for you to FEEL like a good person without having to judge others and compare.

If you are arguing with someone, who drinks and smokes, you are wasting your time. Your arguements will fall on deaf ears.
If the person you are aguing with is an alcoholic, or addicted to cigarette smoke, you may as well try talking to a wall. They will justify all they do, it's part of addiction.
You can't argue with idiots, it makes you fall to their level. By arguing with them, you also come off as judgemental and smugly superior, which are very unattractive traits.
I generally don't go where people are smoking. These days most places are smoke free, and all smoking must be conducted out doors. If I am in an outdoor area and someone is smoking nearby, I move. As for drinkers, there's nothing I can do about that, but to try and avoid drunks, and pray that a drunk driver does not find me.
Teach your children, by your example. Let them know how you feel about drinking and smoking, without preaching. It will sink in.

Oy, you got the logic backwards there. Not drinking or smoking aren't virtues, those are habits/addictions. Virtues or personal qualities are character traits.
So what other qualities do you possess? are you honest? trustworthy? do you have integrity? are you loyal? are you selfish? do you help people who need help? are you kind to animals? do you ever talk behind someone's back about them? have you ever broken the law? (i.e. downloaded music even though it's not legal/ethical)? are you judgmental?
By the way, to say that smokers or drinkers or drug addicts MUST tell their kids that those habits are good is far from the truth. I'd venture out to say that you're very quick to pass judgement here. Maybe you should consider working on a virtue that is called "humility".

Just because you don't drink or smoke doesn't make you a good person. I've met some people who don't drink and don't smoke and they're the biggest a**holes around! As long as they're not hurting anyone but themselves, it shouldn't really matter to you. As long as everything is in moderation it's no big deal.

Smoking and drinking aren't what determines whether or not you're a good person. It's very hard to tell what DOES make someone good. I guess it all depends!
Being honest, polite, kind, giving, etc. Those are all qualities of goodness..but there are so many more. =)

To answer your question: Do you consider my qualities as good or bad?...............I consider your qualities as good. You certainly ( with the exception of genetics ) will be healthier than those who drink alcohol, smoke and do drugs......I would suggest that you find friends with your interests and not ones like these abnormal people you have been around..........

these people who tell you that you are strange have given in to the PEER PRESSURE you have resisted. You are the good, decent, and sensible one. When you are 20 or 30 years older, you will look and feel like someone 10-15 years YOUNGER than your actual age, while they will show all the signs of degenerative diseases from the social ills they embrace now.

No, you're good. Don't listen to the ones that say you're not normal. People who need drugs or alcohol in order to function in their everyday lives are the ones who are not normal.
