That depends on the level of attraction. If the two friends are not attracted to each other than there is no problem with being just friends. However, if one or both of the friends are attracted to one another this could lead to some tension. Often times when a boy and a girl are just friends it turns out that one lonely night one of them makes a move, now if that move is welcomed then it could lead to some weird feeling later on in the friendship or completely mess up the friendship. If the friend is turned away while making a move than it could hurt the friends feelings making a huge strain n the friendship. It is a tpugh thing to do but at times it can be the best friendship you have ever had.

Very much so, however the mind always has a tendency to linger, and even though the feelings may not be expressed, the two may indeed harbor them on a subconscious level. The problem of wanting more however arises from the guy. However being good friends is very important in a relationship - if the girl and the guy like each other in a friendly way, why not run with that and move onto the next step... but to answer your question YES they can be, if one resists the need to move to something more.

Yes.... the truth friendship is a love from deep of the hearth which is call holy love , so the boy and girl can be good friends forever if the both girl and boy are in holy love...... either one party is not in holy love than sure will end up in different way.

Honestly, if they aren't attracted to each other than yes. But if they are attracted then I don't think they can be 'just friends'. Odds are they will have some built up sexual tension and one day something will happen between them. This is just what I've seen in the past. And honestly, my mom doesn't have any best guy friend, and my dad doesn't have a best girl friend. It just doesn't work that way.

I once had what I thought was just a guy friend. few months later he tells me he is inlove with me, and cried to my face when I had nothing to say to him.
I mean seriously what the **** was he thinking?! that was just too much for me, after I shared things that no one else knows about me with him. I dunno...we havent talked since that last convo when he told me that.
but I have a diff guy friend, he is my brother's best friend as well, so he's like a brother tome. if he told me he was inlove with me my brother would beat the shyt out of him so I dont see that happening. thank god.
